MEMBERSHIP
- Memberships are non-refundable, non-transferable and good for one year from date of purchase.
- A resident is defined as a person who lives within Mentor city limits. Mentor-on-the-Lake residents are considered non-residents. Families that live in Concord and Mentor-on-the-Lake and are in the Mentor school district are considered non-residents.
- A family is considered parent(s) or guardian(s) and their children under the age of 18, as well as unmarried college students age 23 and under residing in the family home. Must show proof of current college enrollment.
- Family members must live in the same residence to qualify for a family plan rate.
- 2-person memberships are defined as an adult couple residing in the same home, or a parent/guardian and child that is an unmarried college student 23 and under.
AGE
- Children must be 12 years of age or older to be on the fitness floor. Children ages 12 – 13 years are permitted on the fitness floor if they have completed a Fitness Orientation and are supervised by an adult.
- Children under the age of 12 years are not permitted on the fitness floor area at any time.
- Children under the age of 14 are prohibited from using the gymnasium without a parent/guardian (age 18+) present in the facility at all times.
- Children 12 & up can be in the pool, at lifeguard’s discretion, without a parent but their parent must be in the facility.
- Children 11 and under must have an adult in the pool area with them. Children who are unable to swim must have an adult in the water swimming with them.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Locks may not be left on lockers overnight. Locks which are left overnight will be removed by staff.
- The MCRC assumes no responsibility for personal injuries and is not responsible for lost, damaged, broken or stolen items.
- Swim diapers are required of all non potty-trained swimmers.
- Lost and found items will be thrown away or donated after 30 days.
- Alcohol, drugs, weapons, smoking, and vaping is prohibited.
- Any other guidelines deemed necessary for the safety and comfort of the guest will be enforced.
- Aside from texting, cell phone usage in locker rooms is not permitted.
- Food and/or gum is not allowed in the fitness area, gymnasium, or courts. Drinks are allowed in a sealed container with a lid. Glass containers are not permitted in the MCRC.
- Outside trainers are not allowed.
- Proper (no inappropriate, suggestive or vulgar words or graphics) shirts/tanks/shorts/warm up suits and pants are required. Jewelry that poses a risk is prohibited.
- There is an additional fee for group fitness classes.
POOL
- Proper family friendly swim suit is required
- Coast Guard approved lifejackets are permitted
- Swim Diapers are required for non-potty-trained swimmers
- Pool area is a shared space, please be kind to others. Lap swimmers may circle swim if more than 2 people are using a lane.
- Guests must be over 18 to use the whirlpool, saunas, and steam room.
FITNESS FLOOR
- Participants are encouraged to complete a fitness orientation. If you are not familiar with a piece of equipment, please ask one of the fitness attendants for assistance.
- Participants must use the equipment according to the depicted instructions provided by the manufacturer.
- Slamming and dropping of weights is not allowed. All equipment should be returned to their proper location after use. Weights should not be placed on top of benches.
- Photography is strictly prohibited in the fitness area.
- Participants must wipe off controls, seats, pads, handles and railings after using equipment.
- Cardiovascular equipment is limited to 30 minutes while others are waiting. Please use sign-up sheet when waiting to use cardiovascular equipment.
- Report all injuries and any malfunctioning or damaged equipment to MCRC staff.
- Headphones must be used with personal electronic devices.
- Personal belongings must be stored in lockers.
- For the track, walkers are encouraged to use outer lane. Runners and joggers are encouraged to use inner lanes. 12 laps = 1 mile. Strollers are permitted.
GYMNASIUM
- Lack of respect or the use of foul language toward other people and/or equipment will not be tolerated.
- No throwing of any balls against the walls, fixtures or backboards.
- Please refrain from hanging on the nets or rims, playing music without headphones, horseplay and spitting on the floor.
- Sport specific and clean footwear is required. Black soled shoes are not permitted. Sandals, street shoes and bare or stocking feet are prohibited.
- Non-authorized team practices are prohibited.
